One of the most exciting developments in Bitcoin today is the upcoming activation of Taproot, the next major upgrade to Bitcoin’s core protocol.
The Taproot upgrade will improve privacy and scripting functionality to Bitcoin such as smart contracts.
It’s taken a lot of time, coordination, and hard work for Taproot to be on the verge of activation as shown in the graphic below.
