TD₿: Bitcoin Touchpoints (a thread) by Vijay Boyapati
TL;DR Be the person that brings Bitcoin back on your loved ones' radars this holiday season.
Hey Bitcoiners,
If you’ve listened to other bitcoiners share their own Bitcoin journeys, you’ve probably noticed some common themes.
One such theme is many bitcoiners tell a story of scoffing at the idea of Bitcoin when they first heard about it.
It’s easy to write off Bitcoin when someone hears about it for the first time. They inevitably conclude: Bitcoin can’t work, this thing is vaporware, or they simply cannot wrap their heads around it.
For many of us, it took multiple interactions with Bitcoin before we actually took a closer look at it to understand its significance.
Vijay Boyapati talks about this idea of “touchpoints” in the process of Bitcoin’s monetization in this Twitter thread (06/04/2019).
The point I’d like to get across here is YOU can be that touchpoint for the people you care about. Even if it’s only a short conversation at the dinner table, you can be the person they trust that brings Bitcoin back on their radar.
Maybe this time they’ll be curious enough to take a closer look at Bitcoin, or maybe they just need another touchpoint before taking the plunge.
Either way, make sure to bring up Bitcoin to your loved ones this holiday season.
₿ that touchpoint for them.
