TD₿: Bitcoin is About to Make a MASSIVE Move – Are You Ready? - (a Swan original video) with Hurley
TL;DR: Bitcoin’s volatility has tanked—which usually means a big move is coming. Up or down? As the U.S. eyes adding BTC to reserves and institutions keep stacking, retail stays sidelined.
Hey Bitcoiners,
In today’s video, Hurley dives into how Bitcoin’s price volatility has dropped sharply over the past few months. Historically a sign that a massive move, either up or down, is coming. After a swift sell-off following David Sacks’ announcement about exploring a U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve, the market has entered a “wait and see” mode.
Traders appear to have placed their bets, and now volatility has collapsed. This kind of low-volatility environment usually precedes a sharp move that catches both bulls and bears off guard, causing forced liquidations and amplifying price swings in either direction.
Still, Bitcoin doesn’t need U.S. government adoption to succeed. As Alex Thorn from Galaxy Digital pointed out, Bitcoin has been winning for 16 years without state support or institutional backing. Its core value proposition—being the hardest, scarcest, most secure form of money ever created—remains intact.
The long-term thesis hasn’t changed: as long as central banks keep printing money and adding to their debt burdens, and as Bitcoin adoption continues to grow, the price is likely to rise significantly over time. The disappointing lack of retail interest this cycle could be due to cultural nihilism, gambling addiction, or simply misunderstanding what Bitcoin actually is.

About Alpen Labs
Alpen Labs is a New York-based startup founded in 2022 by four MIT alumni. Our mission is to build universal rails for money by creating a scalable, private and programmable Bitcoin ecosystem. We're achieving this through cutting-edge innovations in zero-knowledge cryptography and offchain solutions, without compromising Bitcoin's fundamental principles.
This endeavor is not just about technological advancement but a step towards a more resilient, free, and prosperous global society. Our current team consists of engineers and researchers from companies like Blockstream Research, Palantir, and Nethermind. We invite passionate individuals to join us in navigating this complex, yet rewarding journey towards redefining financial sovereignty.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Partner Integration Engineer to be the technical connective tissue between our protocol and the ecosystem building around it. You’ll work closely with wallets, exchanges, apps, and infrastructure teams to help them integrate and interact with our stack.
This is a hands-on role that blends full-stack engineering with partner enablement. You’ll build SDKs and tooling, improve developer experience, guide external teams through integrations, and help shape the product from direct partner feedback. Think of it as go-to-market engineering meets developer success.
What You’ll Do
Lead third-party integrations end-to-end—from dApps and infrastructure teams deploying on our EVM chain to consumer-facing partners integrating the full stack.
Build SDKs, sample apps, and tooling to make development feel as if it’s one seamless stack across different dApps and infrastructure.
Collaborate with partners’ engineering teams to guide them through integration from start to finish
Improve internal and external documentation to support our growing ecosystem
Participate in technical discussions and support calls with external engineering teams
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infra, and protocol teams to bridge gaps between ecosystem needs and protocol development
Identify friction points for developers and help solve them through tools or process improvements
You Might Be a Fit If You
Have full-stack engineering experience and are comfortable building with Rust, TypeScript, or similar
Have previous experience working with or building consumer facing apps on-top of EVM-compatible chains
Have worked on or contributed to SDKs, developer tooling, or documentation
Understand the importance of great documentation and intuitive developer experience
Enjoy collaborating with partners and improving technical experiences
Are excited by the idea of being the connective tissue between engineering and ecosystem
What We Offer
What we extend to our new hires is an invitation to actively contribute to the evolution of cutting-edge technologies within the blockchain space. This presents a unique opportunity to innovate and devise creative solutions for complex engineering challenges. To support your journey, we commit to providing all the resources necessary for your learning, growth, and productivity.
Moreover, our compensation package is designed to mirror the passion, dedication, and hard work you invest in your role. We recognize and appreciate your contributions by aligning your exceptional commitment with generous compensation.

FOIA Lawsuit Claims U.S. Government Knows Bitcoin Creator’s Identity
A new Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit alleges the U.S. government may know the true identity of Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Attorney James Murphy filed the suit against the Department of Homeland Security.
He is seeking records of a 2019 meeting where a DHS agent allegedly claimed the agency had located and interviewed Nakamoto in California—along with three other individuals involved in creating Bitcoin. Murphy is requesting transcripts, recordings, and any documentation related to the encounter.
