Infrastructure Manager — Fedi
We're on the lookout for a technical Infrastructure Manager to join our mission to empower communities everywhere with Fedimint.
We are looking for an Infrastructure Manager to oversee all aspects of our company’s hardware, software, and security considerations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring we have smooth product builds, seamless configurations, and timely releases for our cutting-edge software.
We need someone who has a deep passion and knowledge of Bitcoin and a desire to empower communities everywhere. You will need to understand how bitcoin works (nodes, wallets, lightning transactions) and be quick to learn about Fedimints and related technologies. If you already have experience and knowledge of Fedimints that would be a benefit.
Responsibilities
Product Builds and Configurations: Take ownership of the entire product build and configuration process, working closely with development teams to ensure successful and efficient builds and deployments.
Release Management: Develop and maintain release schedules, coordinate release activities, and ensure that each release meets quality standards and is delivered on time.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to product builds, configurations, releases, and security protocols.
DevOps and System Administration: Utilize your DevOps or system administrator background to manage and optimize build and release pipelines, version control systems, and deployment tools.
Federation Management: Collaborate with relevant teams to set up and manage federations as well as provide first line technical support
Security Oversight: Lead and oversee all aspects of physical and cyber security within the company, including infrastructure security, data protection, access controls, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and automation, driving continuous improvement in the build, release, and security workflows.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing, proactively addressing security gaps and potential threats.
Requirements
DevOps or System Administrator Background: A proven track record in managing product builds and releases in a DevOps or system administrator role, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment processes.
Product Build Expertise: Familiarity with build tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, capable of managing complex software configurations.
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
Security Knowledge: Strong knowledge of physical and cyber security best practices, with experience in implementing security measures and protocols.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions promptly.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and reliability in all product builds, configurations, and releases.
Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
