TD₿: Why I Don't Own Ethereum (a thread) by Preston Pysh
TL;DR Ethereum's decentralization can't be trusted and Proof of Stake is just like the existing fiat system we already have.
Hey Bitcoiners,
Last night, I saw one of the worst Bitcoin FUD videos I’ve ever seen (watch here at your own peril).
It was almost impressive how many lies they squeezed into one minute and 29 seconds.
It was tweeted out from the official World Economic Forum account as part of the “Change the Code” campaign funded by Ripple Co-founder Chris Larsen.
The video stuck to the script of the coordinated attack against Proof of Work we’ve seen lately from international financial institutions, environmental activists, politicians, central banks, and others.
It chastised Proof of Work for its energy usage while promoting Proof of Stake, and specifically Ethereum, as a viable alternative.
Preston Pysh wrote this Twitter thread that thoroughly debunks both Ethereum and Proof of Stake in one fell swoop (05/10/2021).
My favorite part of the video was when the WEF called Ethereum a company. At least they got something right!
If they want to change Bitcoin’s code, fork it, or shut up.

“Proof of Stake is more like a zoo creature. You’ve designed a domesticated pet that has pretty feathers but it's pretty toothless. It was never meant to live in the jungle." - Michael Saylor, Chairman & CEO at Microstrategy
