The Company

The Role
As a Controller at Swan Bitcoin, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of at least 7-10 years of hands-on experience in financial management, accounting and audit. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.
Your responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accurate bookkeeping in compliance with US GAAP accounting standards.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and accruals, with the objective of ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
Prepare financial statements and other accounting disclosures to ensure compliance with key standards such as ASC 606, ASC 718, and ASC 842.
Analyze financial reports to provide timely and insightful recommendations to Swan leadership.
Partner closely with third parties to manage annual audits, filings, taxes, and other corporate accounting activities.
Assist in the development and documentation of robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial reporting completeness and accuracy.
Evaluate, design, and implement financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
Skills and experience that will help you succeed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration. CPA designation preferred.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Auditor with at least 7-10 years of professional accounting/audit experience - Big 4 or large national public accounting experience is a plus.
Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in financial management software. Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership and effective communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
