TD₿: The History of Davos and the World Economic Forum by Ansel Lindner
TL;DR The future that Bitcoin enables and the one that the WEF envisions could not be more diametrically opposed.
Hey Bitcoiners,
In April, the World Economic Forum drew a line in the sand and publicly criticized Bitcoin in a campaign to “change the code.”

The video was filled with so much misinformation and misconceptions around Bitcoin’s energy use that one has to wonder if the folks over at the WEF have some kind of agenda against Bitcoin. 🤔
But of course, they do! That’s because Bitcoin goes against everything the WEF stands for. Bitcoin allows people to own the fruits of their labor. Bitcoin allows people to preserve their property rights without the state’s intervention. Bitcoin gives power back to the individual and functions outside the control of globalist organizations like the WEF. It represents the antithesis of the WEF’s “You will own nothing and be happy” vision for our future.
As Bitcoin continues to creep into the mindshare of politics, economics, and society, I expect the anti-Bitcoin propaganda from institutions like the WEF to accelerate because they will feel increasingly threatened by the sovereignty it gives individuals. We are already seeing this in things like the “change the code” campaign and in several pro-CBDC whitepapers they’ve published to date.
Because of this, I think it is important to better understand the organizations that will be attacking Bitcoin and, consequently, freedom so that we are better prepared to stand up against them.
Ansel Lindner gave a great overview of the WEF’s history and its attempt to make capitalism more socialist through “stakeholder capitalism” in this podcast. (05/26/2022)
The WEF was created as a centralized, elitist institution where plans for the world are made behind closed doors, and their goals and ambitions are obscured from the public.
Bitcoin’s origins are quite different. It was started by an anonymous founder on an email list who eventually walked away from untold riches and fame to gift the world with a transparent, decentralized, and censorship-resistant money.
The two couldn’t be more diametrically opposed. It’s time people speak up and fight for the future they want to see for themselves and future generations.
Will you choose A) decentralization, freedom, and capitalism, or B) centralization, global tyranny, and socialism?
I know my choice.

The difference between freedom and slavery! Great post today!
Great finish with the choice - same theme as Uncommunist Manifesto released yesterday (Bitcoin Independence Day)…the only way we lose is to stop fighting for each other’s freedom…
