TD₿: The Greatest Game by Jeff Booth
TL;DR Bitcoin enables the abundance provided by technology to be more widely distributed.
Hey Bitcoiners,
Lately, I’m beginning to notice a stark contrast between the health of the Bitcoin system and the legacy financial system. Mainly that one appears to be ascending and improving over time while the other appears to be on the decline.
Each day that goes by there seems to be another announcement from central bankers or the government that just makes you facepalm.
The latest example of this was when US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen recently advocated for a tax on unrealized capital gains. In other words…if your home goes up in price and you don’t sell it, you’ll still have to pay taxes on the price appreciation.
They blow the asset bubbles up and now they want to tax you for it. 🤦♂️
The fact is, after countless bailouts to keep the system afloat, this financial system is no longer working for the majority of people anymore. Wealth and power continue to be concentrated in the hands of the few at the expense of the many.
Bitcoin represents a breakthrough parallel system that aims to bring back the ideals of the free market and provide a world full of abundance that is more widely distributed throughout society.
Jeff Booth wrote this article that explains his thoughts on the problems with our current system and how Bitcoin could potentially improve the world (12/03/2020).
The transition to a new system will likely not be easy…but it is a transition worth fighting for.
