TD₿: Max and Stacy, Like You've Never Heard Them Before by Daniel Prince with Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert
TL;DR Listen to the details of a Bitcoin journey that began back in 2011 when Bitcoin was around $1 and that was televised for all the world to see.
Hey Bitcoiners,
A wise Bitcoiner once told me that you just need to survive three bear cycles. After that, he said, you can overcome anything.
Anyone who has been here for a minute knows that a lot can happen in this space in a short period of time. The ongoing joke in Bitcoin is that 1 year of investing in Bitcoin is equivalent to about 5 years of investing in the traditional stock market, so surviving three bear cycles is no small feat.
Things move fast in Bitcoin, and it’s incredible to think about how much this protocol has grown since its inception nearly 14 years ago.
Bitcoin has gone from being worth a fraction of a penny to now being worth ~$22,000 over that time frame. It has gone from only being discussed in small, obscure corners of the internet to now being discussed by government leaders worldwide.
As of today, Bitcoin has now been online for 5,000 days with near-perfect uptime!
It took an incredible amount of curiosity and foresight for individuals to see Bitcoin for what it is back in 2010-2011, and, furthermore, to understand the potential this technology has to revolutionize the monetary system and the world as we know it.
Some of the most prominent voices that have enjoyed a front-row seat to the Bitcoin revolution have been Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert. They have been advocates for Bitcoin since those early years and have likely educated millions of individuals about Bitcoin since then.
In this hilarious podcast, Daniel Price sits down with Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert and gets them to open up about their Bitcoin journey like they’ve never done before. (12/11/2020)
This was a fantastic conversation that will make you laugh out loud as well as appreciate just how far Bitcoin has come.
It reminded me how important of a role Bitcoiners have had in the continued adoption of digital sound money. The Bitcoiners today stand on the shoulders of the Bitcoiners of yesterday, and the same will be true of Bitcoiners today 10 years from now.
This podcast is the perfect listen to start your week on a happy note.
