TD₿: Founders on a Lightning Standard - (a Bitcoin Nashville 2024 panel) with Desiree Dickerson, Evan Kaloudis, Roy Sheinfeld & Frank Corva
TL;DR: The discussion covers a wide range of topics, from the intricacies of building Bitcoin-powered games to the development of self-custodial wallets and infrastructure tools.
Hey Bitcoiners,
We’ve recently experienced a notable shift in Bitcoin adoption strategies, moving away from “orange-pilling,” or educating people about Bitcoin’s philosophy, towards creating real-world utilities that integrate Bitcoin into daily use.
Educating users alone doesn't scale effectively, and focusing on building tools that solve real problems and offer seamless experiences is a more scalable path to broader adoption. While advanced users may prefer more control and sovereignty through self-custody, many will benefit from simpler, more accessible solutions.
Enjoy!

The Bitcoin Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was established in September 2012 to promote and support Bitcoin's development, adoption, and the standardization of its protocol. Its primary mission is to protect and advance Bitcoin by funding core development, advocating for its adoption, and ensuring the security and maintenance of the Bitcoin open-source software.
The foundation's founding members included notable figures from the cryptocurrency space, such as Gavin Andresen (Bitcoin's lead developer at the time), Jon Matonis, Charlie Shrem, Mark Karpeles, and Peter Vessenes.
