TD₿: Bitcoin's Gravity by Gigi

TL;DR People continue to gravitate towards Bitcoin for different reasons and are then captured as their own set of ideas begin to align with Bitcoin's.

Hey Bitcoiners, 

Bitcoin is probably the most complex subject matter I’ve ever studied.

When I started on this journey, I used to try to apply what I learned from my schooling or consulting days to Bitcoin in an attempt to better understand it. However, I eventually realized that Bitcoin is a different beast entirely.

At its heart, Bitcoin’s consensus rules are set in stone. In many ways, Bitcoin is an unchanging system.

As people arrive at Bitcoin and begin to learn about it, like me, they try to apply their opinions and ideas onto Bitcoin. Yet once they realize that Bitcoin’s essence is virtually impossible to change, they either align their ideas with Bitcoin’s or fork off.
