TD₿: Bitcoin is Not for Criminals by Parker Lewis
TL;DR Bitcoin is money that will be used by everyone regardless of how the money is used.
Hey Bitcoiners,
“Bitcoin is only used by criminals” is one of the laziest, most illogical arguments against Bitcoin that you’ll often hear.
Not only is it patently false given that we can estimate the percentage of illicit transactions on Bitcoin given its transparent nature (it’s tiny), but also it misses the point that money is used by everyone.
Take the dollar for instance - the dollar is used to fund charities, pay for education, and buy homes; but it’s also used in drug deals, to finance war and terrorism, and to facilitate all kinds of crime.
Yet, we don’t blame the dollar for that criminal activity, do we? No, that would be nonsensical.

Bitcoin is for friends. Bitcoin is for enemies.
Bitcoin is money.
