TD₿: Bitcoin Fixes This (a film) by Till Musshoff
TL;DR Bitcoin is many things including the best money the world has seen and a life raft for those suffering from currency devaluation.
Hey Bitcoiners,
There’s no doubt about it anymore, we are living through challenging times. It’s safe to say the world is currently experiencing a cost-of-living crisis.
These days, I can’t log onto Twitter or turn on the TV without seeing a new protest in a new country. Most are protesting how their wages are too low or, conversely, how the cost of essentials like food and fuel is too high.
Inflation is spreading across the globe and, as a result, we are seeing currencies depreciating at an increasingly rapid rate.
Professor Steve Hanke has long been a confused Bitcoin critic, but he has spent the majority of his career studying distressed currencies so he knows a little something about this particular topic. Based on how Hanke measures it, at least 17 countries have over 30% annual inflation today. 😳
The civilians of these countries are seeing the fruits of their labor disappear before their eyes. Of course, Bitcoin is a money that is impossible to devalue, and therefore it can provide refuge for the people of these countries who have no way to preserve their life savings.
Till Musshoff made this short film that explains all the ways Bitcoin can help solve some of the world’s most challenging problems including currency devaluations (07/01/2021).
The rate of currency depreciation around the world is rising and, thankfully, Bitcoin is here as a technology that gives people a way to store their wealth in a money that can’t be debased as their local fiat currencies collapse.
In other words…Bitcoin fixes this.

Quote of the Day
“Bitcoin seems to be a very promising idea. I like the idea of basing security on the assumption that the CPU power of honest participants outweighs that of the attacker. It is a very modern notion that exploits the power of the long tail.” - Hal Finney, Cypherpunk and Bitcoin Pioneer
