TD₿: Bitcoin and Our Deflationary Future by Stephan Livera with Jeff Booth
TL;DR Only with a deflationary money can we reap all the abundance and benefits that new technologies bring to the world.
Hey Bitcoiners,
In my experience, the diversity of the Bitcoin community is something that is very rare and special
One day you’ll be learning about nuclear energy from a nuclear engineer, and the next you’ll be talking to a person who’s worked in fixed income for +30 years opining on the current bond market.
Bitcoin has a way of bringing together individuals from many walks of life and uniting them on a shared mission…to build a more hopeful future.
One such Bitcoiner is the author and entrepreneur, Jeff Booth. His framework of our society today has impacted the way I think about the world.
In short, we are on an unsustainable path due to the convergence of two exponential curves, technological progress due to Moore’s Law, and the debt required to keep our inflationary monetary system alive.
Jeff gives a great overview of his thesis in this podcast with Stephan Livera (07/10/2020).
Luckily we Bitcoiners are uniting today to build a parallel system that could act as a liferaft for the masses when these two curves inevitably collide.
Tick tock next block,

PS - Jeff’s book “The Price of Tomorrow” is a must-read if you haven’t read it already.

Quote of the Day
“Mere inflation — that is, the mere issuance of more money, with the consequence of higher wages and prices — may look like the creation of more demand. But in terms of the actual production and exchange of real things it is not.” - Henry Hazlitt, Journalist and Economist
